"Every journey begins with a single step." Maya Angelou
Growing up bilingual and the daughter of a concert violinist, I was drawn early to language, expression, sound and communication. Upon earning a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from West Virginia University, my interests led me to practice in a variety of settings: community clinics, schools, pediatric rehabilitation hospital and private practice.
I specialize in speech sound disorders, expression and understanding of language, and the development of reading and written language skills. Bilingual in Spanish and English, I have a keen interest in bilingual language development. I maintain professional licenses to practice in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Each interaction with students, their families and educators is a valuable and unique opportunity to impact a child's language and learning.
